Youth and Sports Ministry in a press release issued on Wednesday appointed Bangladesh Army chief Lieutenant General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq as the new president of Bangladesh Golf Federation (BGF).
It was further said in a press release of Youth and Sports Ministry that BGF president was appointed in exercise of the powers conferred under section 20 of the National Sports Council Act of 1974 (amendment ordinance 1976).
