For the first time National Film Award winner actress Aparna went to her hometown Chittagong for the promotion of own movie titled Bhubon Majhi. Yesterday from the morning she took part in promotion of the film in Chittagong city’s Fine Arts Institute and Theatre Institute and in several other institutions. During her campaign actor Maznun Mizan and filmmaker Fakhrul Arefin Khan were also present on the occasion.
It is noted that Bhubon Majhi is scheduled to be released on March 3. This government-grant movie will be released in more than 10 cinema halls on that day.
The story of Bhubon Majhi is based on a true story of the Liberation War in Kushtia. Fakhrul arefin Khan wrote its story, script, dialogue and also gave its direction. Aparna acted in role of Farida, while Parambrata played the role of a baul later turned into a freedom fighter in the movie.
While talking about the movie its lead actress Aparna told this correspondent, “Both my father and grandfather saw the war of independence in 1971. I or like others who are my age informed about the war only by hearing its stories and watching movies. Story of Bhubon Majhi is fully based on the Liberation War so who did not see that war they can get a vivid picture through watching this movie. For this reason, I will request all to watch this movie on the screen. I have tried my level best to portray my role properly in the movie and I am very much optimistic about it.”
Meanwhile, after taking part its promotion in Chittagong Aparna will also work for its publicity in Dhaka.
She got the National Film Award for acting in Gazi Rakayet’s movie Mrittika Maya. Her acted another movie To Be Continued directed by Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmi is waiting to release soon.
Aparna acted other released movies are: Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s Third Person Singular Number, Zahidur Rahim Anjan’s Meghmallar and Prashun Rahman’s Sutopa’r Thikana.
Besides working in movies, Aparna is also acting in the small screen. Now she is acting in Alvi Ahmed’s a new serial.
Therefore, Aparna acted other serials – Golam Sohrab Dodul’s Songsar, Milon Bhatta’s Indiscipline and R B Pritom’s Community – are being aired in different satellite channels now.
