A human chain was formed in front of Narayanganj High School and College here as part of the nation-wide month-long anti-drug campaign on Sunday.
An hour-long human chain was organised by Narayanganj District Narcotics Control Office. Deputy Commissioner Narayanganj Anisur Rahman Miah, Additional District Magistrate Sarwar Hossain, Acting
Principal of Narayanganj School and College Komol Kanti Saha, Assistant Director of District Narcotic
Control Office Biplob Kumar Modak and teachers, students, guardians and anti-drug organisations joined the
programme.
They carried banners, posters and placards to promote anti-drug campaign. While inaugurating the anti-drug campaign, Deputy Commissioner Anisur Rahman Miah said the progrmme would create mass-awareness among the people about the ills of drug abuse. He said students are falling prey to drug peddlers and said drug addiction should be eliminated from the country to ensure a healthy society.
