Another person, who suffered burn injuries in the fire incident in a hardware shop at Tejturi Bazar in the capital on April 10, died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday morning, taking the death toll to 6.
The deceased was identified as Mahmudul Hasan, 38, owner of the hardware shop.
Mahmudul, who was under treatment at the
DMCH, died at the hospital’s burn and plastic surgery unit around 8:00am, DMCH police camp sources said.
Earlier, five fire victims, Jahurul Islam, 60, Ibrahim Khalil, 65, Motaleb Hossain, 14, Shafiul Azam, 45, and Abdul Latif, 60, succumbed to their injuries at the DMCH.
