A garment worker, who was rescued four days after remaining trapped under the collapsed Plaza building last year, has died.
Jaheda Begum worked at ‘New Wave Bottoms Ltd’, which was located on the fifth floor, when the building housing several factories collapsed in April 24, last year.
The 25-year old had suffered severe injuries on her head, liver and spine, said her elder sister Shaheda Begum.
She used to vomit blood from time to time, but did not have the money to pay for her treatment. “She died because she received no treatment.”
Jaheda, separated from her husband, lived at Savar’s Baktarpur when she died at 7am Sunday.
