Another victim of Mirpur building fire died at Sheikh Hasina National Institute Of Burn And Plastic Surgery in the capital on Friday afternoon, rising the death toll to four.
The deceased was identified as Rawshan Ara Begum, 70, first wife of building owner Ful Mia.
Rawshan Ara, who had suffered 85 percent burns on her body, died around 3:40pm, said Dr SM Aiyub Hossain, resident surgeon of the hospital.
Of the three other victims, Rina Begum,50, the second wife of Ful Mia died around 10pm on Thursday while her son Shafiqul Islam,35, and mechanic Sumon,40, died early Friday.Of them, Rina had suffered 70 percent burns, Shafiqul had 85 percent and Sumon had 45 percent burns on their bodies.
Other injured tenants Naznin Akhter, 25, her daughter Nawshin, 5, and Renu Begum, 35, are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Seven including a child, sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out at the ground floor of a building from gas pipeline explosion in Dhaka’s Mirpur area early Thursday.
