Miloslav Stasek, ambassador of the Czech Republic in Bangladesh, called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Monday at the latter’s office of the university.
The other members of the delegation were honorary consulate of the Czech Republic in Bangladesh ASM Mahiuddin Monem and eminent business personality ASM Mainuddin Monem.
Dean of the DU Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof Shibli Rubayat-ul-Islam were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interests specially about strengthening bi-lateral relationship between Bangladesh and the Czech Republic in the fields of higher education and research.
They talked about commencing Czech Language at the Dhaka University.
