Aman rice procurement drive for the 2014-2015 season began in the district on Wednesday amid much enthusiasm to the millers.
The food department has fixed a target of procuring 2,581 tonnes of rice from four upazilas of the district during the current Aman season.
District food department sources said the Aman rice procurement drive will continue in the district till February 28, 2015.
