There have been different allegations against Feni District Education Officer Kazi Salim Ullah.
One of the major aspects is that he has created a syndicate of his own, divided teachers after he has obtained the post.
After the news of the District Education Officer’s corruption was published in various newspapers, he forced some headmasters and assistant teachers of his syndicate to give status in social media on his favour. They are trying to manage those who have complained against the District Education Officer by using threats, money and power.
Ferdous Ara Begum, Former Assistant District Education Officer and currently headteacher of Feni Government Pilot High School had filed a complaint with the Education Secretary and Director General seeking District Education Officer’s misconduct, harassment and corruption. It is alleged that the Officer himself and his men are pressuring her to withdraw the complaint. Feni District Education Officer even went to the headmaster’s room of Govt Pilot High School and pressured her to withdraw the complaint.
Despite the closure of educational institutions during the corona period, he has withdrew Tk 72500/ from the school fund. After the corruption was exposed, all the heads of those institutions have ordered to sign the attendance book.
The Principal, Feni Government College is lobbying for the appointment in the government college as the investigating officer. Note that the principal of Feni Government College is his classmate and close friend. He is involved in a conspiracy to destroy the Zilla Teachers’ Association, and to run the association with his loyal teachers. .
The District Education Officer has been accused of withholding the salaries of the officers under his office to keep them in the dark. He did not regularly pay the salaries and allowances of the officers and employees in any month. At least one month late and then pay the salary cheques. It is clear in the bank statement.
