The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued strict instructions to all hospitals across the country to ensure medical services for non-Covid-19 patients.
The Health Media Cell and Public Relation office of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a press
They are as follows:
All private hospitals/clinics should have separate arrangements for the treatment of suspected Covid-19 patients.
Hospitals/clinics having medical facilities cannot send back patients seeking emergency treatment. In order to refer patients to other hospitals/clinics, it must contact the ‘Covid Hospital Control Room’ of the Department of Health. Hospitals/clinics must continue treating patients who have been receiving various treatments, including dialysis, for a long time, if they have not been infected with coronavirus.
If any government or private hospital fails to abide by the instructions, necessary actions will be taken against them, including revocation of licence as per the current laws.
