The Namaj-e-Janaza of Mohammed Ali Mahbub, former District Governor of Rotary International, was held at Gulshan Azad mosque in Dhaka after Asr prayer on Wednesday.
A large number of people attended the janaza to pay their last respect to the departed soul.
Later, he laid to rest at Banani graveyard.
Ali Mahbub died on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
He left behind his wife, a son and three daughters.
