AL interview of nomination seekers Nov 14

The ruling Awami League will take interview of the probable candidates who want to contest in 11th Parliamentary elections on November 14 at the party President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmandi office. The interview decision was taken at a meeting of the party parliamentary board held in the party’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Sunday.
Chaired by Awami League President and the Board Chairman Sheikh Hasina, the members of the Board Advisory council members Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Rashidul Alam and Presidium member Fazlul Karim Selim and Obaidul Quader attended the meeting.
After the meeting party General Secretary Obaidul Quader in a briefing told the reporters that the nomination board will complete the interview of all the aspirants within a day on November 14.
“Awami League is likely to take part in the 11th general election forming grand alliance with Ershad-led Jatiya Party, components of Awami League-led alliance and also Jukta Front led by AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury.
“We will not send any request to Election Commission for rescheduling and increasing time for the election date, but if the Election Commission changes the schedule, we will not oppose,’ Quader said.
The issue of the seat-sharing with the partners will be resolved soon and the Jatiya Party will take part in the election with their party symbol ‘Plough’, the candidates of the AL-led alliance with the symbol ‘Boat’ and Jukta Front with their own party symbol perhaps, Quader said.
The party started the sale of nomination papers from Friday and will end today (Monday).
