Anti-Corruption Commissioner , Chittagong chapter filed a case against 9 physicians of Chittagong Medical College Hospital for alleged corruption .
Deputy Director of ACC KM Misbahuddin filed the case before the Panchalaish thana police as plaintiff. Offcer incharge of Panchalaish thana Mohiuddin confirmed the news to the correspondent yesterday.
The accused are – Deputy Director of CMCH Dr. Kazi Shafiqul Islam, Asstt. Director(Hospital) Dr. Khorshed Shirin, Resident Physician of Medicine Department Dr. Momen Sarkar, Resident Surgeon of Gyne Department Dr. Kamrunessa Begum, Resident Surgeon of Child Outdoor Dr. Giasuddin, Resident Surgeon of Radiography s Dr. Md. Ali Ashgar chowdury, Senior Store Officer Dr. Sk. Mohammad Jamal Mostafa, Health officer WHO Dr. Debasish Dutta, and Medical Officer(store) Dr. Nazmul Akter.
All the accused are the memebers of Evaluation committee. ACC sources said ACC launched investigation against the irregularities and corruptions against the evaluation committee members in 2012 and finally ascertained 9 allegedly accused in employment of hospital staffs . The case was filed against them under section 218/409/161/109 of Penal code of 1947 .
