A team of Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) led by its Deputy Director of Chittagong District Office Lutful Kabir Chandon raided Revenue Office of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) on Wednesday .
ACC officials also investigated the corruption and irregularities allegation reportedly against CCC revenue department.
At that time, ACC team held a meeting with various officers and checked documents regarding the allegations. Later, they also raided the Revenue Circle-4 office of CCC in New Market area of the port city. Lutful Kabir Chandon said, “There are allegations against CCC revenue office that people were charging additional fees on issuing a trade license and harassing those who refuse to pay extra money.”
Apart from this, we will continue drive to investigate several other charges against the branch, he added. ACC officials found evidence of corruption against some of the officers initially. After the investigation action will be taken against the accused, he concluded.
Three Rohingya nationals have been arrested by Kotwali thana police of CMP on Wednesday for alleged involved with the trafficking of intoxicated yaba tablets .
 Police apprehended them from breeze ghat area under Koltwali thana in the city alongwith 50 thousand yaba tablets .
The detained drug peddlers identified as Abu Taher, Md.Ismail and Md. Mobarak.Officer incharge of Kotwali thana Md. Mohsin confirmed the arrest of these drug traffickers. Asstt. Commissioner of police, Kotwali Zone Mr. Novel chakma told that these detained Rohingya nationals were bringing the yaba consignment from coxsbazar aimed at selling in Chattogram .
 Police interrogating these drug peddlers for further information, sources said.
