No Headmaster at 55 pry schools: Academic activities seriously hampered in Chandpur

A total of 55 government primary schools in Faridganj upazila f the district are running without any headmaster.
Consequently, academic activities in these institutions are being seriously hampered as recruitment to these vacant posts has remained stalled for different complications.
It has been going on for a long time and so, proper primary education is being hampered, alleged many primary teachers and guardians adding that Dakshin Char Rampur Government Primary School alone is operating academic activities without headmaster for the last ten years.
Senior assistant teachers of those 55 primary schools have been running these schools as acting head teachers alongside their regular duties.
And for this, proper teaching in the classes in these schools has been in doldrums and teaching activities are going on at a slow speed and relaxed mood.
The schools sans headmasters are – Rampur Bazar Government Primary School, Sholodana Government Primary School, Rustompur Government Primary School, Luxmipur Government Primary School, Shokdi Rampur Government Primary School, Shoshairchar Government Primary School, Dikdair Government Primary School, Forishair Government Primary school, Subidpur Government Primary School, Guatoba Government Primary School, Sreekalia Government Primary School, Gollak Government Primary School, Ashta Government Primary School, Bhatialpur Government Primary School, Purbo Badarpur Government Primary School, Paschim Horni Government Primary School, Dakhshin Char Rampur Government Primary School, Paschim Poa Govt Primary School, Montola Government Primary School, South Bishkatali Government Primary School, Paikpara Balika Government Primary School, Purbo Bhawalpur Government Primary School, Purbo Alonia Government Primary School, Eklaspur Government Primary School, Uttar Santosepur Government Primary School and three other government primary schools.
Besides these, there are 27 more newly nationalised government primary schools in the upazila that have long been running without headmasters.
Under the circumstances, proper as well as quality education in all these schools is being hampered for a long time, the locals and the guardians claimed.
A government primary school can’t run properly without its leader that means a headmaster, Dakshin Char Rampur Government Primary School Managing Committee’s president, also vice chairman of Faridganj Upazila Parishad, Md Wahidur Rahman said this while talking to this correspondent.
He demanded to the authorities concerned to appoint a headmaster to this school as soon as possible to ensure proper education.
