A team of Rapid Action Battalion Unit-8 rescued an abducted school girl and arrested three abductors within few hours from Dapdapia area under Bakerganj upazila of Barishal’ on Tuesday.
Issueing a press realease on Tuesday after noon, RAB sources said Jannati Aktar Tinni, 14, daughter of Sobhan Kazi and a student of class seven at Shahid Altaf Secondary School of Boalia under Bakerganj abducted by a group of miscreants on Monday October 22 afternoon from front of Boalia Puja Mandir on her way to return home from private tution.
After searching family members failed to trace her at at about 9:00 PM Monday, the abductor gang calling her cousin over mobile phone giving death threat demanded Tk 50 thousand as ransom for releasing the the abducted victim.
Then family members of the victim informed law enforcres and RAB started move to recover the abducted victim.
A team of RAB unit-8 led by assistant director Hassan Ali operating a drive succeeded to recover the victim and arrest 3 of the abductors from Dapdapia area at 6:00 AM early Tuesday, RAB sources added.
Cash money and mobile phone sets used by the criminal gang in abduction also recovered by RAB during the drive.
The victim handed over to family members and arrested abductors Rana Haoladar, 21, Md. Razu, 20, Khalil Haoladar, 28, handed over to police on Tuesday afternoon after lodging a case with Bakerganj police station.
