The college girl abducted from the front of examination center in Barisal city by divorced husband and his associates after attending master’s final year examination on Saturday noon, recovered from Pirojpur at night.
Later she was sent to Barisal and gave confessional statement in Barisal court on Sunday afternoon.
Abdur Razzak, officer in charge Pirojpur Sadar police station, said police recovering the victim from the house of alleged abductor Prince on Saturday night, handed over her to Barisal police, but failed to arrest any accused.
The victim went under medical test at Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital on Sunday noon, Barisal police sources said.
Then Rafiqul Islam, chief metropolitan magistrate of Barisal recorded confessional statement of Swapna under section 164 of penal code and handed over her to paternal guardians.
In the confessional statement the victim narrated the history and story of her abduction, said Sub Inspector Saidul Islam, investigation officer of the case of adduction.
Mentionable a group of youth riding on a white coloured private car abducted Ismat Jahan Swapna, a master’s final year examinee of Accounting department of Government Brojo Mohun College, after she went out from examination center at Government Barisal College at 2:10 PM Saturday.
The victim was daughter of Saiful Islam Shikdar of Raghunathpur under Kaukhali upazila of Pirojpur and alleged abductor was her divorced husband Asaduzzaman Prince of Pirojpur Sadar.
Shahjahan Khan, maternal uncle of the victim, informed Barisal Kotwali police station immediate after the abduction.
