More nine people died of coronavirus infections while 434 cases of new infection from the virus also detected in the last 24 hours in Bangladesh, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Monday.
“With the new cases, the death toll reached to 110 and the total number of infected has reached 3,382”, Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (administration) of the DGHS said in a press briefing in Dhaka.
Dr. Sultana said that total of 2,974 samples were tested across the country since yesterday, which is seven percent more than the previous day.
The DGHS official said that among the nine deceased, five were male and four female.
Age-wise, three of the deceased were above 60, three 51-60 and three between 40-50. she added.
Besides, two more made recovery from the decease taking the recovery toll to 87.
Dr. Sultana said also that 89 people were put under isolation in the last 24 hours across the country.
