Chittagong city and district police in a series of drives detained8 leaders and activists from two upazilas of the district on Saturday night.
Naimul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district said police detained eight leaders and activists in overnight raids at various places of, Lohagara and Sitakunda, Upazila to prevent possible acts of sabotage during the country-wide blockade enforced by BNP-led 20 party alliance.
