Panchagarh road crash: 7 including newly married couple killed

At least seven people, including two spouses, were killed in a tragic road crash when a passenger bus rammed a battery run easy bike on the Panchagarh-Banglabandha Highway in Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh district on Friday noon.
The accident occurred at Magurmari Amtoli of the said highway around 1:00pm on Friday .
The victims were identified as Easy bike driver Rafiq, 28, from Chakormari village, Akbar Ali, 72, and his wife Nurima from Bodinajot area, 65, Labu Islam, 25, and his newly married wife Mukti, 19, from Mazipara village, Makud Hossain, 43,from Raypara village and Nargis Banu, 42 from Sahebjot village.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Panchagarh district Sabina Yasmin visited the spot after the incident.
Meanwhile, people being agitated at the tragic death of seven men and women, attacked Highway police, fire service personnel and journalists who were doing their professional duties.
Rajibul, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Tetulia Highway Police Outpost told media that he himself and constables Ripon, Safiul and a local journalist Didar Hossen Badsha got injured in the attack.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have been deployed to ease the mayhem.
