Chittagong Bureau :
Police detained 7 persons allegedly involved with the stolen of two covered van loaded paper products( paper board) on Wednesday night.
These imported papers were stolen by a influential gang from the Chitagong port. Officer- in-charge of Kotwali thana told that board papers were stored in port shed after import from abroad aimed at clearance by the importers but a robbery gang managed to take away these paper products in connivance with the dishonest port officials of port shed .
Acting on secret information, Kotwali thana police challenged two covered vans in Anderkilla crossing and detained the covered vans failing to exhibit the valid documents of the paper products. Police detained both the covered under police custody.
