Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized six kilograms of gunpowder from bordering Wahedpur area of Shibganj upazila on Friday morning.
Lt Col Sajjad Sarwar, Commanding Officer of BGB-53 battalion, said a patrol team of the paramilitary force conducted a drive in Kalupur field around 11:30 am.
Sensing the presence of the BGB members, a teenage boy ran away towards the Indian territory leaving behind a bag, he said, adding that they later found 6 kg gunpowder inside the bag.
