The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday placed five members of teen-gang on a three-day remand each over the murder of ‘Film Jhir Jhir’ leader Mohsin Ali in Mohammadpur area in the capital.
Magistrate Md Mainul Hossain of the CMM Court passed the order after hearing on Monday.
The accused persons are: Mizanur Rahman, 16, Momin Shikdar, 17, Abdul Malek alias Munna, 16, Manir Hossain, 16 and Jahidul Islam, 18.
Earlier, Sub-Inspector Faruk Hossain, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case produced the accused in the court seeking five days’ remand for each juvenile.
According to the case statement, the accused killed Mohsin in broad-day light. Meanwhile, Mohsin’s friends Sabbir, Rubel and Rakib tried to save him from the attackers, but the attackers also attacked them and left them injured.
