Five inter-district dacoits were arrested along with some ultra modern appliances used for cutting the grilles and breaking the locks of the doors from the residential area of Mongla Port town in Bagerhat district by the police of Mongla PS on Saturday mid night.The arrested dacoits are Fakhrul Gazi (45), Babul Hawladar (35), Shahid (40), Md. Abdul Malek (35) and Babul Hossain (40). They all hail from the different villages within Khontakata Union Parishad under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district.
It was disclosed by Pankaj Chandra Roy, Police Super of Bagerhat in a press briefing held in his office on Sunday. The arrested dacoits have been involved in committing dacoities for long.
