495 homeless families in Moulvibazar get shelter house before Eid

In the third phase in Moulvibazar, 779 homeless families are getting shelter as an Eid gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Of these, confessions were handed over to 495 families on Tuesday 27 April. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated 32,904 virtual houses across the country at 11am. Among the beneficiaries in the conference room of Moulvibazar district administration, MP Syeda Johoura Alauddin, Deputy Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Zakaria, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sabrina Rahman and others handed over 162 houses of Sadar Upazila on behalf of the Prime Minister.
 Meanwhile, 97 out of 113 houses in Kulaura upazila were handed over. Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Mehedi Hasan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer ATM Farhad Chowdhury, Kulaura Municipal Mayor Principal Sipar Uddin Ahmed, Additional Superintendent of Police (Kulaura Circle) Sadek Kawsar Dastogir, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sajal Mollah, Upazila Awami League President Rafiqul Islam Renu & General Secretary Asm Kamrul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Kulaura Police Station Binoy Bhushan Roy and others were present on the occasion. Land and houses were handed over to about 32,904 families across the country on Tuesday under the third phase of land and housing distribution program to landless and homeless families under Asrayan-2 project on the occasion of Mujib Year. In Moulvibazar district, out of 779 houses to be constructed in the third phase, construction of 495 houses is nearing completion. Among the beneficiaries, they were handed over on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan said 35 houses have been handed over in the upazila. Beneficiaries are overjoyed to receive the gift houses. This Eid will be a different Eid for them. Upendra Kar of Vatera, Akshan Mia of Hajipur,
Many beneficiaries including widow Asma Begum said, We have been sheltered in people’s homes for so long. From today we woke up in our dream house. I have celebrated many Eids without any joy. Now I am happy.
