The 3rd edition of country’s biggest franchisee based cricket extravaganza Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will begin in December this year.
However, the dates of the league matches is yet to be confirmed but it is expected to begin in the first week of December, said BPL governing body chairman Afzalur Rahman Sinha at a press conference on Tuesday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Sinha also informed that in order to take part in the tournament, the franchisees must pay their dues in time otherwise the governing council will search for appointing new franchisees.
He said the BPL is a perfect platform of the cricketers ahead of the World T20 that is scheduled to be held in India next year.
The first edition of the BPL was held in 2012.
