For a long time there divisional tribunal in Sylhet are vacant. Many important cases are under trial of these tribunals. Daily new cases added. So case Jam is created. So people facing problem regularly.
Court source said, Judge Dilip kumar Deb Nath of rapid trial tribunal is on leave since 10th August. He is at present in USA. His return time in uncertain. But in the court 39 case are under trial of rapid trial tribunal and 27 cases in special judge court. 4 cases of rapid trial tribunal are suspended in order case grenade attack to Suranjit Sen gupta, former finance minister Kibria murder case etc. In absence of judge district and session judge Dr Golam Murtuza handling the cases. It is learnt that he only sign the date of cases.
From 4th August the post of peoples security violating offence tribunal judge is vacant. M Motiur Rhaman Bhuiya was judge of that court. He is receiving promotion and now judge of metropolitan court. 3 months pased but no new judge appointed here number of case is 250. Dr Golam Murtuza is working here as acting judge.
From 3rd August divisional special judge court is vacant. Here Fahmida Kader was working. She receive promotion and transferred now she is district and session judge Sirajgong. Here number of case is 296 of them some are stayed by the order of upper court. Many case are now stopped in their procedure. Here Dr Golam Murtuza working as in charge judge.

PP Special Judge court Shah M Moshahid Ali said Dr. Golam Mustuza working as in charge judge district judge take evidence in some important case. But it is a post equivalent to district judge. So new Judge will join in December or January.
