Three poachers were arrested from Chandeswar area within Chandpai Forest Range under the Eastern Division of the Sundarbans in Bagerhat district at Thursday night by the forest guards, according to a report received here. At that time a 150-feet long trap (for catching deer), a trawler, knives of both big and small sizes were seized. The arrested poachers are Shahadat Shikdar (30), son of one Abul Shikdar of village Tafalbari under Patharghata Upazila in Barguna district, Kaium Khan (22), son of one Malek Khan of the same village and Zakaria Khan (23), son of one Sattatr Khan of village Dakkhin Chardoani under the same Upazila.
