Three people were killed as a hillock collapsed on a house in College Gate area of the district town on Thursday afternoon.
The deceaseds were identified as Shamsul Alam, owner of the house, and construction workers Kalu Malakar and Mohammad Hanif.

Fire Service, said a chunk of hillock fell on Shamsul’s under-construction house around 4:15pm, leaving them missing.
With the help of locals, firefighters and police rescued them from under the soil.
Later, they were taken to Rangamati Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
