Detective Branch (DB) of police in a drive arrested three alleged members of a human skeleton lifters’ gang in
possession of five skeletons from in front of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) on Thursday.
The arrestees were identified as Nizam, Latif of Madhupur in Tangail district and Sohel of Astadhar village in sadar upazila of Mymensingh district.
Acting on secret information, a team of DB police conducted a raid in the area and challenged the three people suspecting their movement in front of MMCH in the afternoon, said Majedur Rahman, officer-in-charge of DB police.
Later the detectives recovered five skeletons and some tools used in digging out body remains from graves from their possession and arrested the trio.
