Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested three alleged smugglers and seized a truck with 740 sacks of government subsidised fertilizer from Churamati Bazar of Sadar upazila in the district on Wednesday.
The arrestees are- Imamul Hossain, 18, son of Tahazzat Ali of Bodhkhana village in Jhikargachha, Sagir Hossain, 42, son of Amir Hossain, hailing from Sitarampur of Sadar upazila, and Abul Kalam, 36, from Bokchar Chowdhurypara in the district.
