Two friends died after consuming contaminated liquor at Daudpur Bazar in Nababganj upazila early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Krishna Chandra Roy, 42, son of Amulyo Chandra Roy of Daudpur Bazar, and Abdul Baten, 46, son of Abul Kashem of Malpara village of the upazila.
Locals said, the two friends fell sick after drinking the toxic liquor on Sunday night.
Later, Krishna died at about 12:15 am while Baten around 12:30am.
Officer-in-Charge of Nababganj Police Station Ismail Hossain said police visited the area on Monday morning.
