The Chittogram Veter-nary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) to arrange a two-day long international scientific conference on its campus from yesterday. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will formally inaugurate the 15th international scientific conference on the day. The CVASU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Goutam Buddha Das disclosed the matter while addressing a press briefing .on Thursday.
This time the theme of the conference is “Role of livestock and fisheries towards a sustainable food system for a middle-income country like Bangladesh.” A total of 49 research articles and a main article will be presented at the conference which is divided into seven technical sessions.
As many as 250 scientists, researchers, academics, environmentalists, professionals, NGO activists, development partners, and representatives of aid agencies from home and abroad are taking part take in the conference.
Prof Dr Purnendu Biswas, Vice Chancellor of West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, CVASU founder Vice Chancellor Dr Nitish Chandra Debnath and Prof Young-Ki Hong, Department of Biotechnology, Pukyong National University, South Korea are expected to attend the conference as the special guests.
