M M Jasim :The three incumbent leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of ruling Awami League, are contesting in the forthcoming City Corporation elections for the posts of councillor. The leaders are Publicity Secretary of BCL Saharukh Miraz, Assistant Secretary of BCL Asaduzzaman Asad and Dhaka City South unit President Md Anisur Rahman Anis. They hope that they would win the upcoming city corporation polls as half of the total voters are youths who want corruption-free and technology based young force for future Bangladesh. Saharukh Miraz submitted nomination paper for Ward No-2 under Dhaka North City Corporation. Asaduzzaman Asad is a councillor candidate for Ward No-21 under Dhaka South City Corporation area. A vast part of Dhaka University area is in the Ward. “I am living in Ward No-2 in Dhaka University area. The people of this area like me. I believe that they will cast vote to me and I will win,” Asad said. Md Anisur Rahman Anis submitted nomination paper for the Ward No-2 under Dhaka South City Corporation.
