Based on secret information, accused Rashed Mia (30), son of Abdul Barek of Ramdhannagar village of the upazila, was arrested in the afternoon by a team led by SI Mohin Uddin from Chanpur area of Akhaura North Union. He is one of the prime accused in the sensational auto-rickshaw driver Hiron Mia murder case in April 2021 in Khalajura Bill. Apart from the murder case mentioned against him, a total of 4 court arrest warrants were pending at the police station, including robbery preparation and drugs.
