Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested a drug peddler with 20,000 pieces of yaba tablets from city’s Ekkilometer area under Chandgaon thana last morning.
The arrested were Montu Sheikh, 26, son of Mohammad Rustom Sheikh, hailed from Kotwali thana of Jessore district.
On a tip-off, a team of Chandgaon thana police halt a truck and detained the drug peddler in front of Mohona community center in the area and recovered the contraband drugs, police said. A case was filed with Chandgaon thana.
