One person was murdered by his rival over a disputed demarcation of house at Ulipur upazila in Kurigram district on Monday.
Police and local sources said Mahfuzar Rahman of village Purir potol under Tabakpur union of the upazila had a previous enmity with the demarcation border of the house with Nawab Ali for long. Mahfuzur Rahman put a fence on the disputed land at night. When Nawab Ali tried to go to out side of the house breaking the fence,Mahfuzur Rahman and his associates attacked on him. At one stage of their attack Nawab Ali 65 was killed on the spot.Being informed police rushed to the spot and recover the dead body and sent it to Kurigram Sadar Hospital for post mortem examination.Azgar Ali 45 and Enamul 22 were arrested.Officer-in-charge of Ulipur police station Jamir Uddin admitted the incident. No case was filed till writing the report.
