A housewife was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband and a man was reportedly slaughtered by the members of his father-in-law in Sadar upazila over family feud early Tuesday.
Police said Lima Rani, 18, was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband Joy Chandra centring familial affairs at Chinipara village in Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.
After the incident, locals held Joy Chandra and informed police.
On information, police recovered the body and arrested Joy.
Meanwhile, Ershad, son of Yunus Ali of Romoniganj village in Hatibandha upazila, was allegedly slaughtered by the family members of his father-in-law at Kismat Chongdar area in Sadar upazila around 11:00 pm.
On Monday, Ershad went to his father-in-law’s house in the area and locked into an altercation with his wife.
As a sequel, the family members of his father-in-law allegedly slaughtered him.
Police also arrested Ershad’s mother-in-law Rasheda, 47.
Confirming the incidents, Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
