Two people were killed by a lightning strike at Kafrikhal village in Mithapukur upazila on Wednesday night.
The deceased were identified as Zafar Miah,60, and Mozammel Hossain,50.
Officer-in-charge of Mithapukur Police Station Humayun Kabir said a streak of thunderbolt hit the duo in the area while they were returning home amid rain at about 10:00pm, leaving them dead on the spot.
