Two friends died after being electrocuted at Saitris Loutora village under Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.
Police identified the victims as Titul Kazi, 30, son of Lutfor Kazi, a resident of Saitris Loutora and Hasan Mollah, 30, son of Nizam Mollah, of Alaipur village of the area.
Kazi came in contact with a live electric wire while working at his own poultry farm in the area around 9:30am, said sub-inspector Robiul Islam of Magura Sadar Police Station.
Kazi’s friend Hasan also got electrocuted when he was trying to save his friend from electrocution, he added.
Later, locals rushed the duo to Magura 250-bed hospital where on-duty declared them dead.
