UNB, Savar: Two buses were set afire by unidentified miscreants at Shyamoli CNG Refueling Station in Baliarpur area of the upazila early Wednesday, hours before the Jamaat-e-Islami enforced hartal got underway. Sub-inspector of Savar Police Station Farhad Hossain said unidentified miscreants torched the bus of ‘Shyamoli Paribahan’ parked in the CNG refilling station around 1:30 am. However, no casualty was reported. Informed, two firefighting units from Savar Fire Service Station rushed in and doused the flame after half an hour. Jamaat enforced the dawn-to-dusk shutdown protesting the Supreme Court’s upholding the death penalty of its leader Mir Quasem Ali in a case for his crimes against humanity during the Liberation War.
