The Special Metropolitan Magistrate Court of the Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) has ordered to send the owners of two buildings to jail for constructing unplanned buildings.When the owners of the two buildings surrendered to the court on Monday, Special Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Alam ordered to send them to jail.
The accused are the owner of Hotel Eastern View on Agrabad Mujib Sheikh Mujib Road in the city, Jasim Uddin Bhuiyan and his wife Kohinoor Begum, Special Metropolitan Magistrate Court Bench Assistant Fayez Ahmed told the media that Jasim Uddin Bhuiyan and Kohinoor Begum got approval from the CDA to construct two six-storey building. But out of design, they built a building with eight floors instead of 6 floors and another with 11 floors instead of six floors. The Authorization Department filed two separate cases in this regard. Fayez Ahmed said the court took cognizance of the case and issued warrants against the two accused.
