Rajdhani Unnayan Kortripakhha (RAJUK) yesterday conducted an eviction drive in some areas
under Uttara and Turag police stations and demolished 15,00 illegal establishments, including 1,000 slums.
“Executive Magistrate Khandaker Jakir Hossain of RAJUK led the drive,” officer-in-charge (OC) of Turag police station said. Illegal encroachers had been occupying the land for long, he said.
High officials of RAJUK and members of law enforcement agencies were present at that time.
