Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 13 Bangladeshi nationals, including women and children, while entering the country from India illegally through Putkhali bordering area here on Sunday.
Of the arrestees, three were men, six women and four children. They hailed from different parts of Narail district.
Being tipped off that a group of Bangladeshi nationals gathered at a mango orchard along Paschim Para Ball Field in Putkhali village a team of BGB arrested them for entering the country from India without valid document, said Subedar Omar Faruk, commanding officer of Putkhali BGB camp.
They were handed over to Benapole Port police Station.
