12 accessories exporters of Bangladesh received Export Trophy in GAPEXPO 2018.
Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) awarded export trophy for first time in the GAPEXPO 2018 to motivate exporters of garments accessories of Bangladesh on the closing ceremony of GAPEXPO 2018.
Against 40 applications for award exporters who exported from January to December 2016, 12 garments accessories exporters of the country had received the export trophy in four categories (Small, Medium, Large and Direct Export). Besides, a women entrepreneur was also been awarded with trophy and certificate as part of recognition in the ceremony at Bashudhara International Convention City in the capital on Saturday.
Commerce Minister Tofayel Ahmed was present in the ceremony as Chief Guest while National Board of Revenue Chairman Mosarraf Hossain Bhuiyan and FBCCI President Shafiul Islam Mahiuddin were present as Special Guest in the ceremony. The ceremony was presided by the BGAPMEA President Abdul Kader Khan.
BGAPMEA Vice President Md Moazzem Hossain, Director Monir Udiin Ahmed, Advisor Rafej Alam Chouwdhury, Shahjada Mahmud Chouwdhury and Safiullah Chouwdhury, among others, were present in the program.
In small category three organizations received gold, silver and bronze trophies, Mohammadi Dyeing & Printing Ind. (Pvt.) Ltd of Chittagong had received gold trophy for exporting $ 9, 33,833.99 during January to December 2016.
Poly Corr Packaging, Dhaka had received silver trophy for exporting $ 8, 37,511.99 and A.R. Elastic Industries, Dhaka had received bronze trophy for exporting $ 8, 31,656.81.
In medium category, Goldstar Labels & Accessories Ltd., Dhaka had received gold trophy for exporting $ 28, 33,145.43, Global Accessories Ltd., Chittagong had received silver trophy for exporting $ 26, 25,025.45 and Premier Accessories Ltd., Chittagong. had received bronze trophy for exporting $ 24, 92,421.48.
In large category, Montrims Ltd., Gazipur had received gold trophy for exporting $ 2, 33, 27,147.16, Uniglory Paper & Packaging Ltd., Tangail had received silver trophy for exporting $ 1, 92, 17,093.32 and Simtex Industries Ltd., Dhaka had received bronze trophy for exporting $ 1, 32, 21,327.18.
In direct export category, Montrims Ltd., Gazipur had received gold trophy for exporting $ 12, 88,788.06 in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Italy, China, Austria. Al-Muslim Accessories Ltd., Dhaka had received silver trophy for exporting $ 71822.25 in Pakistan.
Special Award for Women Entrepreneur went to Green House, Dhaka for exporting $ 20, 79,979.72.
