By this time the mobile phone network already started with the erection of 2 mobile phone towers- one at Katka tourist spot and the other one at Alorkol of Dubla fish procuring centre under the Eastern Division of the forest. The rest towers will be constructed at Heron point, Puspakathi, Dobeki and Natabeki under the Western Division of the forest and Dubla Officekilla, Kokilmoni, Charputia, Kachikhali and other suitable places of the Eastern Division of the forest. At present irregular and limited net work facilities can be availed through the towers erected by the different mobile phone companies at the localities, adjacent to the forest.
But mobile phone facilities were not available at Dubla fisherman village, Katka tourist spot and other important places under the Eastern Division of the forest and at Heron point, Mandarbaria, Kalirchar, Dobeki etc. places under the Western Division of the forest previously. At that time forest department used to get the mobile facilities occasionally from the Grameen phone after erecting antenna at high with the help of a bamboo or something like that.
