10 more coronavirus patients die, 390 test positive in 24hrs: DGHS

Bangladesh reported 10 more coronavirus infected patients died while 390 people detected infecting with the virus in the last 24 hours, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Wednesday.
“With the latest cases, the death toll reached to 120 while the total number of infected now stand at 3,772,” Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (administration) of the DGHS, said in a press briefing in Dhaka.
Dr. Sultana said that total of 3,096 samples were tested across the country since yesterday, which is 4.1 percent more than the previous day.
Besides, five more made recovery from the infecting persons, taking the recovery toll to 92.
Among the 10 deceased, three were female. Seven were from Dhaka while one each from Narayanganj, Tangail and Mymensingh, Dr Sultana added.
She described that the age-wise, three of the deceased were above 60, two 51-60, three between 41-50 and two 21-30.
A total of 150 were put under isolation around the country in the period.
So far, people with Covid-19 have been detected in 55 districts out of 64 in the country, Dr Sultana also said.
She said that among the total infected, 73 percent are from Dhaka division.
The DGHS official urged the people to stay home to contain the spread of the virus in the country.
